Obedience Trial Level & Competition Works Standard Test Criterias

Pre-Novice Level

• Heelwork On Leash
• Individual Stand Stay
• Recall (12 Meter Distance)
• Sit Group Stays (30 Seconds)
• Down Group Stays (1 Minute)

All exercises are performed Off-leash except Heelwork.

Novice Level

• Heel Free ( Off leash heelwork)
• Individual Stand Stay (Only the Dog’s Back will be Touch by Judge)
• Recall (15 Meter Distance)
• Sit Group Stays (1 Minute)
• Down Group Stays (3 Minutes)

Intermediate Level

• Heel Free (Off leash heelwork)
• Stand Stay for Temperament Test (Dog’s Head, Body & Hindquarters will be Touch by Judge)
• Drop on Recall (15 Meter Distance with Down command midway upon return)
• Distance Control (Optional usage of Verbal or Physical commands only)
• Retrieve on Flat
• Retrieve Over High Jump
• Broad Jump
• Scent Discrimination I (Handler’s Scent Only on Cloths Objects)
• Sit Group Stays (Out of Sight 2 Minute)
• Down Group Stays (Out of Sight 5 Minutes)

Open Level

• Heel Free (Off leash High Level heelwork)
• Distance Control (Restricted usage of Verbal or Physical commands)
• Send Away
• Retrieve Over High Jump
• Broad Jump
• Scent Discrimination II (Handler’s Scent with 2 other scented Decoys Cloths Objects)
• Stand Stay for Group Examination (Dogs will be examine as of Confirmation Show Judging)
• Sit Group Stays (Out of Sight 4 Minute)
• Down Group Stays (Out of Sight 8 Minutes)

Utility Trial

This is open to dogs with C.D Title or passes the Open Level Obedience ONLY.  

• Seek Back Lost Articles
• Food Refusal (3 times from the Judge in 3 different position- Sit, Down & Stand)
• Directed Retrieve (Retrieving 1 of 3 white gloves from a choice of 3 directions)
• Scent Discrimination III (Retrieving Twice on 2 dumbbells made of Wood & Rigid Metal base on Handler’s Scent)
• Directed Jumping (15 meters Send away, directed jumps on Both Bar & High Board midway upon return on recall)
• Signal Exercise (Sit, Down & Stand exercise using Physical commands only)
